Former Florida star Joakim Noah, who was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in June, has been cleared to play international basketball for France, according to a report on FIBA.com.

Noah, 22, officially became a French citizen on Thursday. His father, former tennis pro Yannick Noah, is French, and his mother is Swedish.

Noah was born in New York and is also a U.S. citizen. So in theory, he could play in the 2008 Olympics for either Franch, Sweden or the U.S., although it is highly unlikely he would make the U.S. team.

According to the report, Noah has yet to decide which country he will play for.
