American Venus Williams returned to singles play at the 2008 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix after ten years, and what did she do? She gave German home girl Anna-Lena Groenefeld a tennis lesson. In just over an hour, Venus defeated Goenefeld 6-1, 6-2.
Venus said, “She hit some great shots but my experience helped me.”
Next up for Venus is qualifier Ukrainian Kateryna Bondarenko, who upset Italian Flavia Pennetta 4-6, 6-2, 6-1.

Yes, I have another love. It is not the stylish precision game that tennis is, it is the hard-knocking-ass-kicking-clothes-lining sport of football...YEAH!!
After the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-20 OT win against the Baltimore Ravens tonight, I just had to post at least one of the photos from the game. YES, I am gloating.
One of these times I'll have to post pictures of me in my #36 Jerome Bettis jersey that I wear every time they play. I know... but like I said, die hard.

I have seen and heard some juvenile behavior in my lifetime, but some Republicans not voting for the 'Bailout Bill' because Nancy Pelosi gave a speech that offended twelve of their members is beyond laughable. Not voting because you don't agree with the bill, or you'd like to see another type of bill, that would make sense. But not providing support because of hurt feelings? Sheeesh!
I love Barney Frank's offer to soothe their wounded egos:
"Give me those twelve people's names, and I will go talk uncharacteristically nicely to them, and tell them what wonderful people they are, and maybe they'll think about the country."
My children have acted with more sophistication when they were two and three years old whining for their juice cups! I cannot believe that grown men actually stood up on national television and uttered those words.
In the immortal words of Charlie Brown, "Good Grief."

“In tennis, you have to enjoy the moment. It’s great to win at last and I want to win more and more.”
