Mag My Pic Tag
Monday, February 25, 2008
l
Lisa at Lisa C Writes has tagged me AGAIN! This time with MagMyPic. I'm up late working so I decided to follow through since I'm pretty non-responsive with tags. Plus it only took a second to complete. It's really easy to do, just plug in a pic of yourself and choose a magazine cover you want grace.
The rules are simple. 1)Link back to the person who tagged you. 2)Tag as little or as many friends as you like, just make sure and tag somebody!
Alright, let's see, I think I'll hit up the brothers at Highbrid Nation, Queeny, and Shae-Shae.

I Ducked, But Got Tagged Twice!

The hunk also known as "Mind of Marcus" hit me with this one.
Here are the simple rules: Tag five [5] other bloggers and just keep adding on to the list. This is classic viral linking and the benefits of viral linking: a jump in your Technorati authorities and and an increase in your Google PageRank fast. So get that new traffic to your blog, build your community and make new blog friends!

Fun Link Tag
Tuesday, January 29, 2008
Rule #1: Copy all the links below and replace a single link under the appropriate letter of the alphabet. If your domain name, or even the title of your blog, starts with an “A,” you’d replace the link under that letter “A” and put the replaced link at the bottom. Also, don’t forget to credit the tagger, or where you got the list from, at the end of the list with a full URL of the post so that a pingback gets generated.
Read the rest of this post...........
E everythingandanythingblog.com
T theworldaccordingtoxavier.blogspot.com
Replaced link: bloggingcents.com
Previous tagger: The World According To Xavier
Rule #2: You now have to “tag” at least five people and encourage them to participate. Remember, though, that not everyone’s into these kinds of things, so don’t be upset if they don’t participate. Just simply replace your tag. Remember to tag blogs only and no pornographic ones as we do want to keep the integrity as a blogging community. This is my tag:

To Those Who Have Inspired Me
Friday, October 12, 2007
In the midst of writing some very beautiful thoughts about others, Jon at Chimeric Day Dreams thought that he would pass on the desire to a few of us. Namelessly, here are some thoughts about those who have inspired me recently.
1. I've been without your presence for so long now, and I've adjusted. Your appearance in my sleep on your birthday was the perfect gift for me. I am so happy to know that you are fine and surrounded by the things that you love, I can go on.
2. My heart was once so full of nothing but you and potential tomorrows. Now my head is full of the memory of you and your desire for love, family and fun, it has lifted my spirit.
3. You're a mean one "Ms. Grinch", and the only thing that you've stolen is my friendship and you're stuck with it. So stop being so mean and relax, it's all good.
4. I am so glad that you have let go of the idea of what your life should be like and see it for what it is. Your energy to do this has given me even greater courage in my own quest.
5. You are an isolated event in my life, so different from each and everyone else that I know. I like having you around and hope that the friendship grows, lasts and has reciprocal teachings.
6. I don't know anyone else with your zeal. Everyday is truly a new adventure for you and it is my pleasure to watch. Your desire for tomorrow and whatever it holds amuses me and is the foundation of my hope for you.
7. You are a particular gift. God's grace shines through your beautiful smile and beams in your gorgeous eyes, I can't live long enough to completely thank God for you. I have learned more from you in your years than I have learned in all of mine.

Tagged!: Blogging Tips To Share
Saturday, September 29, 2007
I've been tagged again by Jon at Chimeric Day Dreams. I like this tag. I think that it is definitely a community booster. Although we are all bloggers, we are also blog readers. This ought to tell each of us what we enjoy/dislike as we visit each others blogs.
The idea is to copy the list, star your favorite ones, add your own tip at the very end, and then pass it on.
1. Look, read, and learn.
2. Be, EXCELLENT to each other.
3. Don’t let money change ya!
4. Always reply to your comments.
*5. Blog about what you know & love.
6. Don’t use filthy language-buy a dictionary.
7. Blog about something educational.
8. Be yourself; others will follow.
9. Don’t have too many blogs that will become a chore to maintain.
*10. Keep it simple, user-friendly, interesting and organized!
11. Keep the blog simple and sweet!!!
12. Share with others your thoughts and don’t be shy!
13. Never ask for link exchange. Blog hop to increase traffic.
*14. Don’t clutter your blog with ads all over the place. IT’S IRRITATING.
15. Don’t comment for the sake of commenting. Some looked too fake and its a big turn off!
16. Share something interesting and you will gain more readers.
17. Show that we care to all bloggers, treat each other as friends.
18. Pictures say a million words. Keep them coming!
19. Blogging should be fun or you’ll get tired of it pretty soon.
*20. Don’t think people will come to your blog if you’re not willing to pay a visit to them.
21. Everyone loves read short posting and best, illustrated with a picture.
22. Try not to publish more than 5 posts in one blog a day. Even if it’s from feed reader, it’s quite hard to digest and catch up reading everything.
23. Blog: the other window to peek into people’s life, minus the trouble. Keep a certain level of privacy to yourself.
24. Never tell your readers that you are going on vacation. That’s basically telling them to not visit your blog for a week. Instead, write several posts, and take advantage of the timestamp feature.
*25. Try and write with people in mind that are “somewhat similar to you”. Allow your audience to identify with your blog and feel “at home”.
26. The key to a good article is a good introduction. A joke, a question or a picture does wonders.
27. If you are looking to earn an income blogging read StevePavlina.com and Problogger.net, you will be amazed at what you can learn.
28. Write for yourself first. Remember that it takes time, effort, patience…and above all, daring.
29. Use Google Alerts for immediate alerts of news and/or blog posts about topics you specify, clip those that interest you into Google Notebook (it also copies the URLS for reference). - Chimeric Day Dreams
30. Invite your reader to read and not to search/hunt your blog. Have some type of logic in the organization of your blog so that it flows for the reader and allows for easy navigation. Some blogs are so full of blog related minutiae that the actual posts are lost is the midst. - Black Tennis Pro's
I'd like to see blogging tips from:
Poetic Sista - A passionate writer, she truly blogs from the heart and soul.
Black In Business - JD is definitely a man who is supportive of others, he's professional and someone who looks to tomorrow.
Chessnoid - I truly enjoy the variety of this writer. From the everyday to the unexpected.
Electronic Village - Can there be blogging with more commitment than this blog? Passion, dedication, relevance, etc. Truly one of the best blogs.
Middle Zone Musings - A writer that appeals to the 'everydayness' of life, and to the whimsy of life. Very provocative.

A "Show Me Your Computer Desktop Meme", That's Not Too Bad
Friday, September 21, 2007
Jon at Chemeric Day Dreams has tagged me with a 'Show Me Your Computer Desktop Meme', that's not too bad. The only thing it reveals is that I am a proud TREKKIE!! Check out my tribute desktop, all the captains with their respective ships. Cooooooool huh?!
This is an immediate capture, no clean up or anything. I don't keep a junkie desktop, I'm organized like that. I too auto-hide my task bar because I don't want anything on the screen other than what I'm working on, and the captains.
Jon also tagged:
Roland
Sharon
Joanne
Opal
Tag rules under the cut:
[TAG STARTS HERE]
My Desktop Free View Instruction:
A. Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun.
You can do a screen capture by: [1] Going to your desktop and pressing the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key). [2] Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and do a Paste (CTRL + V). [3] If you wish, you can “edit” the image, before saving it.
For MAC users: Press [ Apple] [ Ctrl ] [ Shift ] and [ 3 ]
B. Post the picture in your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop just below it if you want. You can explain why you preferred such look or why is it full of icons. Things like that.
C. Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktop as well.
D. Add your name to this list of Free Viewers with a link pointing directly to your Desktop Free View post to promote it to succeeding participants.
