Courageous Naomi Osaka Withdraws From The French Open To Curtail Any Distraction And Take Some Time Away From The Court - "...Love You Guys, I'll See You When I See You"
WTF??????
As with many other episodes, this is yet another episode of life that is absolutely amazing. In agreement with Naomi Osaka, "Anger is a lack of understanding, change makes people uncomfortable."
After posting a statement on Twitter May 26th stating her desire to not partake in press conferences during the 2021 French Open, from criticism to being fined, to being threatened to be kicked out of future grand slam tournaments, Naomi took it upon herself to curtail all of the bull and withdraw from the tournament.
Because of addressing issues that she has dealt with mentally based upon past tournament and media dealings, her withdrawal has hoards of individuals commenting as if she is truly mentally ill!! Human mentality is where we all primarily deal with life issues, but sense we don't have to discuss it in press conferences, we are not labeled mentally ill.
The grand slam tournaments collectively addressing Naomi's sincere and honest desire to not deal with press conferences at this time by slamming her with potential future penalties was so unnecessary. Get a damn grip!
Naomi, over the past year your constant development in being supportive of any societal issues or individuals that you stand by has been admirable. You now have that very same support and more from many that return the same love.
Your life, Your decisions, Your path forward... Stay Strong... YOU'VE GOT THE POWER!!

(VIDEO PRESS CONFERENCE) Venus Talks About Being Back And Moving Forward
Sunday, June 12, 2011
EASTBOURNE, England - The last time Venus Williams played on the WTA it was in January at the Aussie Open, where she had to retire after one game of her third round match due to a hip injury - since then she has been out with that hip injury as well as an abdominal injury. She returns this week at Eastbourne and met the press on the weekend - here's a taste of what she said...
On her injury lay-off finally coming to an end...
"I'm very excited - I can't believe I've finally made it. This time I listened to the doctor's advice and accepted limits... it's hard as an athlete to accept limits, but it was all about that. I never could have foreseen the amount of time I had to take off and there were frustrating moments, but I never let it get me down."
On how she spent the last four and a half months...
"After I got injured in January I made the best use of my time when I was off. I entered school, took some classes and worked on my businesses. I also went to the gym and tried to do my rehab. Initially my goal was to play in Miami but that wasn't even close... It took me a good two and a half months to build up to get here now. Sometimes I wouldn't improve for three weeks, sometimes I'd improve in a week - I feel pretty fit now. I've never given myself a 10 out of 10, but I'm back as soon as I could be. I've taken extra weeks to be really sure."
On missing tennis...
"I've missed tennis. It has been so kind to me. I love my sport and I love my job. I really appreciate being here; it's an honor for me to be here."
On playing in Eastbourne for the first time in 13 years...
"I haven't played here in forever. I can't tell you how excited I am to be here and playing any first round match."
On she and Serena coming back at the same tournament...
"Serena hasn't played in a year and I've only played three or four tournaments in the last 12 months. It's crucial for us to play these matches at this point. We normally take this period to go home, rest and train, but for us right now the best preparation is to be here. We're going to do our best to take home two titles on this road - that's what we aim for every time we hit the court."
On the current No.1 player in the world, Caroline Wozniacki...
"Caroline is a great player doing positive things - she's really on the right road. She doesn't need much advice. Off the court she's a very nice person and super helpful; on the court she's an unbelievable competitor. She has played more consistently than anyone and is leaps and bounds ahead in the points."
On her goal this week...
"Whoever is across the net is my focus at that point. You can't predict who is going to do what... My sole concern is to make sure I'm in the next round."

Serena Williams Talks To Press In Australia
Saturday, January 12, 2008
Having become just the second unseeded woman since 1969 to win the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup last year, Serena Williams could be entitled to feeling like she has a target on her back heading into the 2008 tournament.
Not that that will worry the 26-year-old American, who will be seeking a fourth Australian Open title when the event gets underway on Monday.
"Last year I was completely under the radar and had absolutely no expectations from anyone and that really made me want to kind of prove everyone wrong," Williams said.
And so she did.
Entering the event ranked 81st in the world following six months out of the game during 2006, Williams proved her critics wrong with wins over No.5 seed Nadia Petrova, No.11 Jelena Jankovic, No.16 Shahar Peer and No.10 Nicole Vaidisova before crushing top seed Maria Sharapova 6-1 6-2 in the final.
And while expectations this year will be high, Williams said she wasn't feeling any pressure.
"This year it's completely opposite (to last year) where I have … a lot of expectations but I'm still here for me more than anything," she told reporters following a practice session with sister Venus.
"I don't feel any pressure at all. I am excited to be here. I just feel like I'm having so much fun every day.
Williams, the No.7 seed, will take on Australian Jarmila Gajdosova in the first round.
She also reserved special praise for 31-year-old Lindsay Davenport, who gave birth to a boy, Jagger Jonathan Leach, seven months ago.
"She looks better than me!" Williams laughed.
