Honorary Mention: Roger Federer Wipes The Montreal Court With Lleyton Hewitt's Butt!!
Friday, August 10, 2007
I truly don't like to sound hateful, but Lleyton Hewitt is the shimmering example of the "anti" Black Tennis Pro. His despicable behavior on and off the court over the years cost him my support a long time ago. So "here, here" and a big phat Black Tennis Pro's honorary mention to Roger Federer for giving Lleyton Hewitt yet another dust up! Scat, be gone, shoo and take your nasty attitude with you! Okay, I'm done. Now on to the game.

Abdominal Strain Forces James Blake to Withdraw from Rogers Cup
Wednesday, August 8, 2007
I was sooo looking forward to seeing James Blake wipe the court with Lleyton Hewitt's butt, but alas, his health is far more important than my desire to see Hewitt beaten again.
With the US Open less than three weeks away, Blake did not want to risk aggravating his injury, allowing Hewitt a free ride into the third round. "It's still painful and it felt even worse this morning than it did last night,'' said Blake, who was set to back up less than 24 hours after his opening round win over Jurgen Melzer. "The adrenaline of playing the match (yesterday) kind of numbed it a little. "Now I notice it a lot more. If I were to go out there and try, I know I'd cause more harm. I can't afford to do that. "I hope (with) four, five days of rest, ice, ultrasound, all the other treatments ... it will be okay for (next week's) Cincinnati (Masters). "I need to be careful with the US Open coming up. I don't want to do something that's going to cause some serious damage.''

Fatigued Venus Williams Withdraws From Rogers Cup
While no immediate reason was given for the withdrawal, I think that it's safe to assume that Venus' withdrawal from next week's Roger's Cup is because she's very simply wiped out. Since her incredible 4th win at Wimbledon in July, Venus has been playing non-stop. Go home, put your feet up and eat some ice cream girl, you've more than earned it. It's time for some "me" time.

James Blake the Victor in Round 1 at Rogers Cup
Tuesday, August 7, 2007
James Blake has set up a blockbuster second round clash with Australian Lleyton Hewitt at the Rogers Masters tournament in Montreal. Ninth seeded American Blake had a tougher time than expected in his first round clash with Austrian Jurgen Melzer.
In a tight tussle, Blake eventually prevailed 7-5 7-6 (7-4) but only managed to convert one of the 14 break points that Melzer offered him.

James Blake Doubles His Troubles in Montreal
Monday, August 6, 2007
James Blake and Jamie Murray's new doubles partnership at the Masters Series event in Montreal was not to be long lived. Last night they were knocked out in the first round. The Scot and the American took the first set 7-6 against Fernando Gonzalez and Ivan Ljubicic, who are ranked 11th and sixth in singles, but lost the second 6-3 before falling 10-8 in the decider.
Blake is scheduled to play Jurgen Melzer in the first round of the singles.
